Where on Earth are we?
Cordero Fishing Lodge & Marina is located between Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland coast in a quiet bay on Lorte Island in Cordero Channel approximately 120 air miles north of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
The Lodge is smack dab in the middle of BC’s famous salmon fishing grounds just off Johnstone Strait a couple of hours boat cruise from the Stuart Island, Sonora Island, Dent Island, Big Bay area. The Lodge is about the same distance from Blind Channel, your gateway to fabulous BC trout fishing in some of the most remote and bountiful trout fishing lakes and rivers in British Columbia.
Getting here by boat:
Cordero Lodge is accessible only by boat or floatplane. For recreational boaters who are boating or salmon fishing in the area the Lodge & Marina is easily accessible by boat from Johnstone Strait, Desolation Sound, Campbell River and the Discovery Islands. If you find yourself in Campbell River without a boat there is water taxi service to the Lodge... see the transportation providers links at right.
Getting here by floatplane
There is daily scheduled flight service between Vancouver International Airport and Campbell River, the nearest airport. If you are flying in to Campbell River Reinhardt and Doris will make the necessary arrangements to assure a seamless journey by chartering a floatplane to convey you on a 30 minute scenic flight from Campbell River to the doorstep of Cordero Fishing Lodge & Marina.
Getting here by floatplane AND boat!
Kenmore Air offers scheduled service from Seattle direct to nearby Blind Channel. Water taxi transportation can then be arranged to transport you by boat to Cordero Fishing Lodge. In this case the journey (by air and by water) to Cordero is sure to be one of the highlights of your visit.
